A Call for God's People to Act

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Revelation 21:4
As a people, how we long for such a day! At times, the grief, despair and hopelessness are so overwhelming that we ache with a fierceness for the day when all sorrow will be a thing of the past for those that have placed their trust in the Lord Almighty. But until that glorious day, God has called us all to draw the world to him, to show compassion and mercy, and to do what we can to ease the sufferings of those less fortunate.
On Sunday night, one of our precious non-residential orphans passed away from this life. We rejoice, hopeful that she is in the arms of our caring God. Yet we mourn, knowing a young and promising life was cut short because of senseless tragedy.
Anny Pindani became very sick and was taken to the Ntcheu District hospital on Saturday. She was diagnosed with malaria, kept overnight, and released on Sunday. Anny complained of back pain on Monday night, and died before morning. Those closest to her are once again questioning a medical system that treats merely visible symptoms, not having the time, resources or incentive to check any deeper.
The problems with the Malawi healthcare system are not new, and they are not getting any better. There are generations of sorrow and children needlessly dying every day that we can no longer ignore. It is time for God's people to step up and take action. Pure Mission is committed to helping the people of Malawi by building a Medical Training Center in Madzanje. We need people equally committed to help make this project a reality.
